Prop maker and Set design

Aurora 3d Printing Co have been prop makers/set designers for 5+ years and have experienced all kinds of commissions from one-off replica crowns to armour and replica weapons. Our fondness are the small intricate props such as badges that appear on many cops shows.

We have been approached previously in the past by customers wanting replica props and only having 2 or 3 grainy photos from which to copy from. However there has been artistic flair to create truly on-off pieces.

Replica designer, costumer, prop fabricator, and product plotter all have one thing in common - the ability to experiment with different materials. Additive manufacturing, computer aided design, various products such as leather, metals, plastics, textiles are all part of the makeup of prop making.

Cosplay as a lifestyle.

Creating props has never been a typical job - every commission has it's very own unique, weird and wonderful backstory. Cosplayers, Larpers, Actors or anyone of an imaginative disposition all have one thing in common, they want to immerse themselves in their character. Immersion isn't just about portraying a characters personality or building a backstory but using props as an extension (bit like a limb), from clothing to weapons, head wear to jewellery, these bring added dimensions.

Why choose Aurora 3D Printing?

A vast majority of our props and replica props are designed in computer aided design (Mexhmixer, Blender or Windows 3D) and built on to produce a quality prop.  We can design and make props that are intended for use in trade shows, film and tv, set design, technical theatre, stage theatre, visual aids and presentations, corporate award trophies and of course cosplay and Larping.
